  Well, friends, let us not forget

  that today marks a full 96 years of kingdom rule.

  yes, brothers and sisters, how joyous we all are that now 96 years have passed since the gentile times ended and their kings had their day!.

  what many reasons we have to be among jehovah's happy people knowing that some will still be alive to see the end that were alive at the momentous time of october 1, 1914!

  Yes, sister snowbird, there can be little doubt that our dear brother Fred Franz not only guides the present day work but was also invisibly behind the wondrous new light about the overlapping generation. Truly, it would take an oracle of his renown to come up with something so scintillating that the brothers can all rally 'round.

  I know the previous belief using the standard English usage of "generation" certainly kept me on my toes for many years, forgoing career, education and a social life happily telling all I could about the mathematics of 1914 plus a human lifespan. It was so invigorating feeling such inner peace and contentment while carrying my cleaning equipment around living as an adult with my parents waiting for the end to come.

  We can only be thankful that this overlapping bullshit will hopefully recruit similar youngsters to do the same thing all over again.

  the purpose of this thread is to tell everyone on this board who i am and why i am so different.. first of all, i have already apologised on another thread for posting zero drivel topics here.. i am a 29 year old male, born-in, baptised in 1998, df'd in 2003 for fornication, reinstated in 2008. i want to make it clear that i have never been a ms. after my reinstatement i continued to attend meetings with the same cong.

  but moved to another cong.

  earlier this year, reason being, the continued shunning by some hardcore self-righteous publishers.. i am still with the same cong until now, i go to meetings regularly, including taking part as well as giving bible reading talks.

  Young People Ask was released in 1989 not the early 90s. They made a huge deal out of the Governing Body giving a free copy to all the youths in the audience that day. Geez, thanks!

  yes, friends, we are all so tired from running the race that we have been finally told the month and year (our oracles are still working on the day and hour) of the end.. .

  for further proof, we have the overlapping generation of tyndale, luther, einstein and now finally samuel herd.. my bible reads that no one knows the day nor hour but that has not discouraged me.

  My Bible reads that no one knows the day nor hour but that has not discouraged me. Perhaps the same entity/person/spirit that told you it is near is the same one that told our dear brother Fred Franz that it was coming in some special lunar month of the year nineteen hundred and seventy-five as he was so fond of saying. Dear Fred couldn't say 19-75. It had to be 1900 and 75. Such is the way with our faithful oracles.

  I used to go for walks with a fellow Watchtowerite on a busy street and I did comment to him a few times that if he just pushed me into the oncoming traffic, I would be all set. It would put an end to my strugglin g to meet the national average and all my angst about the strange teachings. *sigh* He just couldn't bring himself to do it for me. Now, I'm stuck here waiting until 2075 for the end.

  Carla, most people with even a modicum of education know the term "Jehovah" and who it stands for. Only the woefully ignorant and STUPID don't. The name appears in Hollywood movies such as the Indiana Jones series and is frequently in non-JW literature as well.

  Believe me, I have major issues with the religion but have no time for stupidity or those who willfully and/or ignorantly use the term incorrectly.
